COOPERATION OF THE UNIVERSITY WITH THE ENTERPRISES AS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR OF THE REGION’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Kuznetsova O.R.

The Khabarovsk Territory is one of the largest regions of the Russian Federation which has an enormous economic potential. The basis of the territory's industrial production is provided by the enterprises of the military-industrial complex, metallurgical and metal-working industry, the production of electrical and electronic equipment, machine-building and chemical industry.

Training engineers for high-tech industries is one of the major tasks for the Khabarovsk Territory and for the whole Russia. The main objective at this stage is to identify ways of quick saturation of economics with fully qualified engineering specialists. The necessity of closer connection of fundamental science to practical issues of modern production was pointed once more at the I Far-Eastern Congress "Science-engineer-industry", held in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in June 2013.

Much work in this direction is carried out in Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University.

There is an industrial park in the University developed since year 2000 which main tasks are:

  • usage of knowledge-consumptive scientific university projects with the purpose of creating competitive products;
  • promotion of innovative developments to the real economic branch. For this purpose there were set up some small innovation enterprises in the University;
  • creation of favorable circumstances in order to rise young people's interest in technical work. One of the resources of this interest can be called TIPS (Theory of  Inventive Problem Solving) which being taught in all technical specialty faculties. In addition, University scientists developed methods and training aids, adapted for school children.

An important part of  University activity is the co-authorship with the enterprises of the city in the sphere of developing innovative projects. It is obvious, that the closer the contact of the production with the University is, the more constructive the ways of solving common problems and specific tasks are. Such cooperation produces significant results during joint participation in the innovative projects competitions.

In May 2013 the Russian joint-stock company "Energy systems of the East" held the first competition of innovative projects, the winner of which was the joint work "Inertial ash collector" by the scientists of the "Thermal power plants" department and specialists of  Komsomolsk electric power plant. During this work the experience of manufacturers coincided with the scientific interest of the department. The winning project will be considered as priority to be included in the investment program of the holding. An organization of various innovative competitions recently means that there is the demand for scientific ideas for their future involvement in the manufacturing.

The necessity of combining the tasks of the educational process with specific problems of production meets with approval at the enterprises of the city not only in the context of organization and participation in competitions of innovative projects. There were set up basic departments of the University at all principal enterprises of the city, such as Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant Corp., Amur shipbuilding plant corp., Amurmetal Corp. With their creation the educational process is partly carried out at the enterprises.

Another positive factor is that students and graduates of the University are got to take part in the development of innovative projects. Some problems of modern production are solved just within doing graduate work, when the purpose and tasks of projection are defined by experts - production workers.

The University systematically ensures communication and constructive соoperation with its graduates. Under the scientific leadership a graduate of KnASTU magistracy prepared the work presented at the scientific and technical conference of NK "Rosneft" Corp. and was dedicated to the development of energy-saving arrangements at the refinery RN - Refinery LLC. Constant team-work of teachers and graduates of the University helps young specialists to adapt to the specific production conditions, stimulates their self-fulfillment, professional development and also helps to realize particular scientific ideas.

Thus, the further strengthening of contacts between high schools of the region and leading industrial manufacturers can solve not only staff problems, it can also positively influence the development and impact of scientifically justified approaches to the organization of the production, and become one of the most important factors in the modernization of region's economy and the realization of its industrial and scientific potential.
