THE TREATMENT OF METHOD BY BOLESLAV L. JAWORSKI
Kulapina Olga I.

In this article explains about methodological foundations of multilateralism The Soviet musicologist Boleslav L. Jaworski. In this publication is considered the steps his interpretation of the concept «method» in pedagogy. After this interpretation became foundations of modern methodological doctrine.

Boleslav L. Jaworski (1877-1942) is a outstanding Soviet musicologist, scientist, educator, social activist. He did not leave a special work on the methodology of musicology, but the basic directions of its various creative activities can be considered as methodological. For example, his theory of modal rhythm can be called theory-method. This theory allows us to fill up a new method of analyze music. Very different pedagogical experiments always turn to search for better opportunities to learn didactic material by students; these various reforms, particularly in the field of education, focused on the implementation of the method, able to actively develop the mindset and personality of the musician. Writer, I.A. Satz, describing the Jaworski's work in Moscow's Conservatory, writes about his teaching method: «It was a holistic method of musical thinking, covering all types of musical activities, including the culture of music perception. It was a method of educating creative musical thinking»[1].

Jaworski had a great outlook and had an interesting feature: each subject studied art, he gave his name. Analyzing the subject, one name was supplemented by another, renewing, expanding, and modify, as a result of this work is the notion of becoming a multi-faceted (for example, the concept of frets)[2].

However, his determination could be supplemented repeatedly, sometimes for several years. For example, the phenomena: the art of music, science, art, types, genres, styles, trends, form and content of art, consciousness, perception, intuition, emotion, pathos, passion, and experience in the arts, human voice, chorus, lyric poetry, performing, logic and dialectic thinking, etc., that Jaworski analyzed for a long time.

Many scientific views Jaworski relevant today. For example, in a letter to his teacher SI Taneyev (15 September 1909), to which Boleslav Leopoldovich treated with great reverence, a scientist envisions a future historical musicology, transformed into the history of music: «All work on the history of music are still the only more or less successful biographical sketches, and they rarely consider the effect of general culture, basically they are considering the direction of the composer, without analyzing the creative process in its most secret recesses. Only when enough is being fabulous theory of composition becomes a musical science, examines the laws governing musical thought and expression, only then will the history of music. This science is not only able to build a theory of musical creativity on the basis of these laws, but also to give the opportunity to predict and explain some of the phenomena»[3].

To date, the methodology of musicology has grown into an independent scientific branch, which includes musical science of science (the term Medushevsky VV), the methodology of musicological research, scientific methodology (musicology) activities and other areas of knowledge. Of course, in times of Sciences Jaworski was not, not even the term «methodology», in contrast to the «method» of the more well-known treatises of ancient Greek and meaning way of investigation or knowledge. Especially interesting to know their origins, as reflected in the epistolary heritage scientist.

Definition of the term «method», the researcher is traditional, it is limited to pedagogy, it clearly distinguishes the method of procedure, the semantic content of a concept, its substantial aspect is rich and deep of understanding.

In a letter to S. Protopopoff (2 September 1938) Jaworski writes: «The method - a way of organizing attention, thinking and memory (reflex) for the most out of a course. Strengthening the reflexes and the development of their active influence - this is the main objective methodology.

Method - a diagram of the pedagogical process, and examples can also be part of the method, for example, if you are similar examples from different arts, sciences, history, life ... Using examples that organize attention and thinking - this is a methodological procedure»[4].

From this passage it is clear that the author reveals some of the methodological aspects in the field of music education: a definition of the essence of the method, its member and methodical approach.
